Watership Downs welcomes you to join our one (or two) day Colt Camp for Beginner Riders! :-)
We have 16 years of experience running amazing summer camps for kids :-)
Your camper's day at Watership Downs, LLC will include:
horse care and safety
proper tacking procedures
one mounted lesson
one bareback lesson
and a trail ride
Of course, there will be games and we finish the day with fun in the pool
Your child will make new friends while building confidence.
Absolutely no horse experience necessary! This is a sport your child can pick up at any age.
We have wonderful and safe school horses of all sizes available :-)
The Camp day is
from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
and is $50.

May each rider please bring:
your own lunch
bathing suit and towel
sun screen
water bottle
a change of clothes just in case
Please wear long pants and a sturdy boot-type shoe!!!
Additionally, Campers will have the opportunity to practice their new skills in an authentic
Beginner Horse Show on Wednesday, June 20th.
This is a very low key horse show in an incredibly supportive environment!
3:30 PM on Wednesday
To wrap up the week, there is an actual schooling show that takes place on grounds beginning at 3:30 in the afternoon. This is fun but NOT REQUIRED! The show is judged with ribbons. Levels vary from poles on the ground through preliminary height show jump courses. There are also a few different dressage suitability classes.
There is a Lead Line division for siblings or friends who might want to participate.
Many prizes are awarded as well as Champion and Reserve Champion awards for every level.
